The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has condoled the death of Shri Shyam Lal Yadav, former Union Minister and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister described Shri Yadav as a politician known for his devotion and grass root level contacts who held several important positions both in the Party and the Government during his three decades of political career. In his death, Uttar Pradesh has lost a valiant son, and the country a great leader.
Dr. Singh expressed his sympathy and condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
