The Government has reconstituted the National Commission for Women (NCW) with immediate effect. The five new nominated members of the NCW are: Smt. Malini Bhattacharya, (2). Ms. Sushila Tiriya, (3) Smt. Motamma, (4) Smt. Neeva Konwar and (5) Smt. Yasmeen Abrar.
These appointments have been made for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of office or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Three existing members - Ms. Nafisa Hussain, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman and Ms. Anusuiya Uike have been relieved from the office of the Member of the NCW from today.
