The Indian men’s amateur Golf team which won the 7th SAARC Golf Championship Trophy held at Kandy in Srilanka called on the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Sunil Dutt here today. The Minister applauded the performance of the team members: Gagan Verma, Jasjit Singh & the 17 year old Himmat S.Rai. The Indian team beat the Pakistan National team in the finals and wrested the SAARC Championship Cup from them. Last year the Indian team had lost to Pakistan at Lahore.
