The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for further extension of six months period beyond May 14, 2005 to Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry set up to inquire into the alleged disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The Commission informed that certain investigations are to be made; so it will not be over within the stipulated date i.e. May 14, 2005. The Commission asked for further extension of six months period beyond May 14, 2005.
