The Directorate of Film Festivals has invited entries for 52nd National Film Awards and National Award for Best Writing on Cinema from Film Producers, Film Critics and Publishers.
Eligibility
a) Feature and Non-Feature Film awards
(i) Feature Films made in any Indian language, shot on 35mm, 16mm or on a wider gauge or digital format but released on a film format produced in India and certified by the Central Board of Film Certification between 1st January 2004 and 31st December 2004 (Both days inclusive) are eligible, to participate.
(ii) Non-Feature Films made in any Indian language, shot on 35mm, 16mm or on a wider gauge or digital format but released on either film or Beta cam SP
(Broadcast quality format) produced in India between 1st January 2004 and 31st December 2004 (Both days inclusive) are eligible to participate.
(b) National Award for the Best Writing on Cinema
(i) Books on Cinema published in India by Indian Citizens in any language between 1st January 2004 and 31st December 2004 (Both days inclusive) are eligible for entry.
(ii) Articles/reviews on cinema published in Indian Newspapers/Magazines/Journals by Indian citizens between 1st January 2004 and 31st December 2004 (both days inclusive) are eligible for entry.
Entry Forms and Regulations can be downloaded from the website www.mib.nic.in/dff. These can be obtained on written request from Directorate of Film Festivals (NFA Cell). Entry Forms and Regulations shall also be available from 16th May, 2005 onwards with the Film Industry organizations, Offices of the Central Board of Film Certification, State Film Development Corporations, Department of Information, Public Relations of State Governments and all branches of National Film Development Corporation.
Last date for receipt of entries for both the categories is 30th May 2005.
