In a message to the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee on the occasion of the celebrations of the 100th Birth Anniversary of the former President of India, the Late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, The President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has said:
“I am happy to know the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee is celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the former President of India Late Janab Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed as National Solidarity Day on May 13, 2005.
Janab Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed represented the best qualities in our tradition and was an illustrious symbol of our secular ethos. He was an ardent nationalist, a freedom fighter and an able administrator who played an important role in the freedom struggle. His selfless service, humanism and deep sensitivity will always be remembered.
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary, I pay my tribute to the Late Janab Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed and wish the anniversary all success.”
