The Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, released a biography on Ramnath Goenka, the father of Indian Express, here today. Titled Ramnath Goenka: A Life in Black and White, it has been written by Ananya Goenka, daughter-in-law of Ramnath Goenka.
Shri Shekhawat said Ramnath Goenka was a man of strong will power. Goenka had fought for democratic values in our society at a demanding time. Shri Shekhawat was confident that every irritant can be overcome with determination and in a spirit of accommodation.
Former Prime Ministers Shri V. P. Singh and Shri Chandrashekhar, former Deputy Prime Minister, Shri L. K. Advani and Union Ministers Shri Santhosh Mohan Deb and Shri Subodh Kanth Sahay were among the hosts of dignitaries present on the occasion.
