The Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was discharged this morning from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he was admitted last evening following symptoms of mild viral fever. Result of all the medical tests done on the Vice President were normal and his condition was stable. However, Shri Shekhawat has been advised rest for a couple of days.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Shri Gulam Nabi Azad visited the hospital this morning, while President A P J Abdul Kalam sent a bouquet.
Earlier, Shri Shekhawat received telephone calls from the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh; Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri Somnath Chatterjee; former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee; former Union Minister, Shri Jaswant Singh; Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Island, Governor of Karnataka Shri T.N.Chaturvedi and a large number of MPs from Rajasthan, who had called to inquire about his health.
