The staff and officials of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and its allied departments collected Rs.16.77 lakh for Tsunami relief work. The cheque for the amount was handed over to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, here today, by the Minister, Shri Oscar Fernandez.
