revision in pulse rate for the calls between delhi and ncr

The Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, informed the Rajya Sabha today, in a written reply to the question by Shri Datta Meghe that the pulse for fixed line charges between Delhi and its adjoining areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) has been revised from 180 seconds to 120 seconds, by the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). The details of stations are as under:

The revision has been necessitated to offset the loss to MTNL in order to comply with the interconnectivity regime.


The Minister further stated that no increase has been made by MTNL for the calls made to satellite towns of Thane and Navi Mumbai by its subscribers in Mumbai.
