relief work by konkan railway engineers during heavy snowfall in j&k

Konkan Railway Engineers of Ramban, Jammu & Kashmir played a vital role in assisting stranded passengers on the National Highway (NH) 1A during the time of closure of road due to heavy snowfall and landslides during the last 10 days.

These engineers provided food, shelter and medicines to 123 stranded passengers including 33 women and 25 children, though there was no power, no water supply and also there was shortage of essential commodities. In addition to this, they also provided water and medicine to the truck drivers.
