The President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in his message on the occasion of Women’s Day which is observed every year on March 8, has said: -
“Every year, we celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March, to recognize the commitment, dedication and achievements of women of our country. Empowerment of women is essential as their thoughts and their value systems lead to the development of a good family, good society and ultimately a good nation. When women are empowered society with stability is assured.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I extend my warm greetings and felicitations to all the women of India for their role in shaping the destiny of the nation and in its transformation into a developed nation by 2020”.
