The President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has condoled the loss of life and damage to property and habitat on the island of Nias in Indonesia following the earthquake there on March 28, 2005.
In a condolence message to the President of Indonesia H.E. Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Dr. Kalam has extended his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones in the tragedy.
The President has also said that the Government of India remains ready to provide any assistance required by the Government of Indonesia in the aftermath of the natural calamity
