The Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, informed the Rajya Sabha today, in a written reply to the question by Shri Janardhana Poojary, that there is no proposal to consider upward revision of monthly rental, or call chares or reduction in the free call facility in respect of fixed line telephones of either Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited.
