The Mughal Gardens and Herbal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan will be exclusively opened for physically and mentally challenged special people on March 17, 2005.

The visitors can be accompanied by their attendant and are requested to bring their wheelchairs and other aids, if required by them. However, a very limited number of wheelchairs will also be available at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Entry to the Mughal Gardens will be through the Rashtrapati Bhavan Reception. Such persons can arrive at Rashtrapati Bhavan through Hukmi Mai Marg or Rajpath.

Visitors are requested not to bring any water bottles, briefcases, umbrellas, handbags/ladies purses, cameras, radio/transistors, cell phones, remote car lock keys, arms/ammunitions and eatables etc. Such articles, if any, will not be allowed to be carried into the Mughal Gardens and will have to be deposited at the entry point, or left in their vehicles at the owner’s risk.
