Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) were operating 172 LPG bottling plants in the country as on 1.1.2005 with a total bottling capacity of 7,690 Thousand Metric Tonnes Per Annum (TMTPA). Bottling plants are set up by OMCs in terms of their assessment of logistic demand.
At present, OMCs have plans to set up 10 new LPG bottling plants as under :-
