The Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram received a cheque of thirty seven crore fifty thousand rupees from Allahabad Bank as interim dividend for the financial year 2004-05. The cheque was presented by Chairman and Managing Director of Allahabad Bank Shri. O. N. Singh. The dividend amount is the share of the government in the profit of the bank as the government holds majority equity in the Bank.
