The Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram was presented a cheque of Rs. 1153.01 crore by the Punjab National Bank on account of return of capital, here today. The cheque was presented by the Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank Shri S. S. Kohli.
The amount of Rs. 1153.01 crore returned by the Punjab National Bank represents proceeds from the subscription of 3 crore equity shares of Rs. 10 each at an issue price of Rs. 390 per equity share after deducting proportionate issue expenses.
