Electrification of Kollam (Quilon)-Paravur is targeted for completion during 2004-05 and Paravur-Trivandrum section is targeted for completion by December, 2005. Stating this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, the Minister of State for Railways Shri R. Velu informed the House that the Kollam(Quilon)-Trivandrum is a part of Kayankulam-Quilon-Trivandrum rail line on which electrification work is progressing satisfactorily.
