Dr. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Minister of Rural Development has called for site inspection, timely release and dissemination of information to the masses about the availability of different schemes and funds under DRDA for the benefit of target groups. Appealing to the senior officials of the State Governments, the Rural Development Minister exhorted State Governments, not to allow under utilization of various rural development schemes. He also stressed on the need to fully utilize allocations made under different rural development schemes. He was reviewing the rural development schemes formulated and implemented by Ministry of Rural Development in association with various State Governments here today. Shri M. Shankar, Secretary, Rural Development and other senior officials of the Ministry of Rural Development were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh underlined the need for strict transparency in the delivery system of rural development schemes and stressed on people’s participation for optimum utilization of benefit to the masses in real terms. The village and district level vigilance committees need to keep a check on proper utilisation of funds and implementation of schemes, the Minister further added.
