Instructions have been issued to bank branches dealing with Government transactions, to remain open till late in the evening of 31st March, 2005 for the purpose of clearing Government cheques and remittances. This is to facilitate taxpayers to deposit all Central taxes including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Central Excise and Service Tax.
