The Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Thiru T. R. Baalu has approved road improvement works on various National Highway sections in the State of Bihar at a total cost of Rs. 22.73 crore.
Approval has been granted for widening and strengthening in km 31 to 45 of Chapra-Baniyapur-Mohamadpur section of NH 101 at a cost of Rs. 1256.91 lakh.
Approval has also been granted for four works amounting to Rs. 684.71 lakh under periodical renewal works on various sections of NH 31, NH 84, NH 85 and NH 107 in Bihar.
Further, under the Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP), Rs. 331.26 lakh has been sanctioned for improving the riding quality in km 378-380 and 385-393 of NH 31 in Bihar.
