The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has condoled the death of former Governor of Bihar and Gujarat, Shri S.S. Bhandari.
In a message, Prime Minister described Shri Bhandari as a ‘patriot’ and a ‘nationalist’. He added that Shri Bhandari “was a great leader who had distinguished record of public service spanning many decades. His presence, advice and wisdom will be missed by one and all”. The Prime Minister conveyed his sincere condolences to his family and his many admirers and well-wishers.
