The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) registered a record production of 18.55 lakh tonnes of iron ore and 6600 Carats of diamonds during May 2005 representing 14 per cent and 4 per cent increase over production for the same period last year.
Whereas, Manganese Ore India Ltd. (MOIL) has produced 56.234 lakh tonnes of manganese ore against the target of 56.085 lakh tones reflecting an achievement of 100.27 per cent during May 2005.
The Bharat Refractories Limited produced 6352 thousand tonnes of refractories during May,2005 which is higher by 10.89 per cent as compared to the same period last year.
