Two company sized Army columns have been staged forward to Rampur to supplement the relief effort. The Bridging Equipment and Recce Parties are also on the move. An Advance HQ has been established at Jateog, near Shimla to monitor/supervise the situation.
Meanwhile IAF has carried out recce mission in the affected area using MI-17 Helicopter.
IAF Helicopter Squadron of MI-17 and MI-8 Helicopter in Western and Central Air Command are on high alert standby for being launched as and when the requirement arises.
