The Vice-President Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, this morning. He was admitted to the Hospital yesterday after complaining of persistent pain in the leg. The obstruction in the blood supply, which was causing the pain, was removed by special interventional procedure. Shri Shekhawat is absolutely fine now.
This morning the President Dr. Abdul Kalam and the Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri Somnath Chatterjee sent bouquets wishing him speedy recovery. Former Prime Ministers Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shri Chandra Shekhar, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Shri Jaswant Singh and former Deputy Chairperson Dr. Najma Heptullah conveyed their good wishes over phone.
