The Government has approved the proposal of the Basketball Federation of India to host the qualifying round of Middle Asia Zone for 23rd FIBA-ASIA Basketball Championship for Men at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from 10 th to 15th July, 2005.
The teams from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Ujbekistan, Bhutan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhastan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tazikistan will be invited for the tournament.
The Government has cleared the proposal to give financial assistance of Rs. 6 (six) lakh.
