Smt. Satwant Reddy has taken over as Secretary, Department of Chemical and Petro Chemicals. She succeeds Shri Pratush Sinha who has been transferred as Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development.
Smt. Reddy, an IAS officer of 1971 batch (Punjab Cadre) has held many important posts in Punjab as well as in Union Government. Earlier, she was Special Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India and also held the additional charge of Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards.
