Railways have earned approximately Rs. 36.72 crore & Rs. 50.21 crore in 2003-04 & 2004-05 respectively through commercial advertisements on railways. Efforts are being made to generate additional earnings through commercial publicity by adopting a new approach on the subject.
This information was given by the Minister of state for Railways Shri R. Velu in written reply to a question raised by Shri C. Perumal, Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha today.
