national law university and three national law centres to be set up

The Government of India has decided to set up a National Law University as well as its three National Law Centres in eastern, western and northern regions of the country on the pattern of National Law School, Bangalore. This decision is based on the recommendations of the Special Subject Group on the administrative and legal simplification constituted by the Prime Minister’s Council on Trade and Industry. A provision has also been made to set up more such centres in the future as per the future needs. The Ministry of Urban Affairs is preparing a lay out as well as the cost of construction etc. of this plan scheme.

This information was given by the Minister of Law and Justice, Shri H. R. Bhardwaj in a written reply to the questions from Shri Avinash Rai Khanna and Shri Ram Singh Kaswan in the Lok Sabha today.
