Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC), a Government of India enterprise, has sought consent of Government of Tamil Nadu to take up Jayankondam Mining and Electricity Project. On receipt of consent, the company would take up the preparation of feasibility report.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Coal & Mines, Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
