Delhi Police SI caught by CBI taking RS.1 Lakh bribe

CBI today arrested an SI of Delhi Police posted at the IGI Air port Police Station while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1 lakh from a complainant. The arrested official had initially demanded Rs.2 lakh
from the complainant to help his relative in obtaining bail since he was the investigating officer of the case relating to his deportation.

CBI registered a case on the basis of the allegation from the complaint that the accused SI was demanding Rs.1 lakh as the first installment of the bribe of Rs.2 lakh in connection with the arrest of his relative who
was deported from Canada. After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused SI was arrested from the premises of IGI Airport.

The search of his residence is in progress .
