The Government has revoked the Deemed to be University Status of Dharam Sinh Desai Institute of Technology, Nadiad (Gujarat). The Institute has been converted into a State University by the Government of Gujarat with its name as Dharamsinh Desai University through an Act of Gujarat legislature in April, 2005. Earlier, the University was given Deemed to be university status in June 2000.
