Considering the serious flood situation in the State of Gujarat, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has decided, in the case of taxpayers in the State of Gujarat, to extend the due date to 31st August, 2005. The extension is applicable for all returns/statements required to be furnished in the months of June and July, 2005 under the Income Tax Act and Wealth Tax Act.
