The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -
Shri Shekhar Dutt, IAS(MP:69), currently Secretary, Department of Defence Production (Ministry of Defence) has been appointed as Defence Secretary.
Shri Dhanendra Kumar, IAS(HY:68), currently Secretary, Department of Road Transport and Highways (Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Defence Production (Ministry of Defence).
Shri L.K. Joshi, IAS(MP:70), currently Member (Administration), National Highways Authority of India, Department of Road Transport and Highways (Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Road Transport and Highways (Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways).
Shri H.C. Gupta, IAS(UP:71), currently Special Secretary (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Member (Administration), National Highways Authority of India, Department of Road Transport and Highways (Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways).
