The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -
Shri S.K. Sood, IAS(HP:71) has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes. Shri Manoj Kumar, IAS(MP:70), Secretary, National Commission on Scheduled Tribes stands relieved of the additional charge.
Shri M. N. Prasad, IAS(BH:72), presently Chairman and Managing Director, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
Smt. Manjulika Gautam, IAS(UP:72), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions) has been appointed as Adviser, Planning Commission in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Shri R.K. Bhargava, IAS(MH:72), presently Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Justice (Ministry of Law & Justice).
Shri Yogesh Khanna, IAS(HP:73), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
Shri Brahm Dutt, IAS(KN:73), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions).
Shri Ramsebak Bandyopadhyay, IAS(WB:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Adviser, Planning Commission in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Shri Sumantra Chaudhuri, IAS(WB:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways.
Shri Shyam Prakash Sharma, IAS(HY:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
Shri Deepak Gupta, IAS(JH:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Smt. Alka Sirohi, IAS(MP:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution).
Smt. Swatantra Kaur Sekhon, IAS(GJ:74), presently Executive Director, Fertilizer Industry Co-ordination Committee under the Department of Fertilizers (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers) to be re-notified in her present post, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Shri Ramesh Inder Singh, IAS(PB:74), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-chemicals (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers) has been appointed as Director General, Employees State Insurance Corporation of India (Ministry of Labour and Employment).
Shri Krishna Murari Acharya, IAS(MP:74), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Elementary Education & Literacy has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development).
Shri V.P. Raja, IAS(MH:74), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy to be re-notified in his present post as Additional Secretary, by personal upgradation of the post held by him.
Shri Vivek Mehrotra, IAS(HY:74), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (Ministry of Finance) to be re-notified in his present post as Additional Secretary, by personal upgradation of the post held by him.
Shri Anil Kumar Lakhina, IAS(MH:74), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (Ministry of Power).
Shri Pulok Chatterji, IAS(UP:74), presently Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office to be re-notified in his present post as Additional Secretary, by personal upgradation of the post held by him.
