The Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat has greeted the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha, which is being celebrated with traditional gaiety and religious fervour all over the country.
In a message, the Vice-President said that this festival commemorates the spirit of sacrifice and reminds us about the supremacy of the divine power.
Shri Shekhawat further added that while celebrating the festival this year, let us keep in mind the sad plight of our thousands of brothers and sisters who have lost their lives and a greater number of those who have been rendered homeless due to the havoc caused by the Tsunami tidal waves and contribute generously to provide relief and assistance to their families.
May this festival bless us with divine grace and compassion to serve the humanity, he added.
