Shri S. Jaipal Reddy, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Culture inaugurated the 11th Triennale-India, an International Exhibition of Contemporary Art here today. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Reddy said that the event is a unique effort towards bringing the art of the whole world on one platform. Such events are eagerly awaited both by the creators and by appreciators of art, he added. The Minister said that the participant artists have provided us a rare opportunity of being face to face with the multifarious latest trends being promoted and pursued in the present day art world. He felt that the Triennale can help to link up the arts fraternity across the globe.
Shri Reddy said that with India already making its mark in information technology and business the world over, can art be left behind! He felt that this international event will inspire the people to explore the possibilities of aesthetic exchange of ideas.
