The President has awarded one Indian Police Medal for Gallantry posthumously, three President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and twenty Police Medal for Meritorious Service to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2005.

S/Shri Anil Sharma, Chief Security Commissioner, West Central Railway, U.H.Char, Assistant Security Commissioner, Railway Board, Shri C.Paneer Selvam, Inspector, Southern Railway, have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
