railway minister presents rs. 10 crore cheque towards pm’s national relief fund

The Union Minister of Railways, Shri Lalu Prasad called on the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and presented a cheque of Rs. 10 crores towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for assisting relief and rehabilitation of the December 26, 2004 Tsunami victims here today. This forms part of the total Rs. 25 crores paid to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. Earlier, a cheque of Rs. 15 crores was sent to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.

The Railway Minister was accompanied by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Smt. Rabri Devi, who also presented a cheque of Rs. 10 crores on behalf of her Government to the Prime Minister for the same purpose.
