The Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Shri Oscar Fernandes has expressed deep shock over the death of 57 people, when a State Transport bus fell into the Almatti Canal near Bijapur in Northern Karnataka yesterday.
In a condolence message, Shri Oscar Fernandes said that his heart-felt sympathies are with them. He expressed the confidence that the State Government will provide all possible assistance and render support to the bereaved families and the injured. He also wished speedy recovery of the injured in the bus tragedy.
