It is clarified that no decision has been taken by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to do away with the Common Entrance Tests for the purpose of admissions to the BE / B. Tech courses. It may be recalled that an appeal had been issued by the Association of Minority Unaided Christian Institutes (AMUCI) in a section of newspapers last week which sought to create such an impression.
