naval chief visits ncc camp

Admiral Arun Prakash, Chief of the Naval Staff visited the NCC Republic Day Camp in Delhi Cant today. On his arrival at the Camp, Admiral Arun Prakash inspected a guard of honour presented by a contingent of smartly turned out NCC cadets drawn from all the three wings namely Army, Navy and Air.

Speaking on the occasion Chief of Naval Staff praised cadets for presenting impressive 'Guard of Honour'. He was highly impressed by the smart turn out, unity, discipline and high quality of briefing as well as exhibits presented by the cadets. He had all the praise for the excellent training being imparted by the NCC to its cadets and grooming them into future leaders of our country.

The Naval Chief also visited the Motivation Hall, the Flag Area, Ship Modeling Room, Aero Modeling Room and interacted with the cadets freely. The CNS also presented a CNS rolling trophy which is a silver replica of new aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya (Gorshkov) acquired by Indian Navy from Russia. This rolling trophy will be given to the best Senior Wing Naval Cadet of NCC during Prime Minister Rally held on Jan 27, every year.

A cultural programme presented by the NCC Cadets on the occasion was keenly witnessed by Mrs Arun Prakash. Lt Gen MC Bhandari, Director General NCC thanked the Chief of the Naval Staff for his visit to the camp. In the evening the Chief of the Naval Staff hosted a tea for the NCC cadets at the Naval House.
