National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) presented a cheque of Rs. 16 lakh, to the Union Agriculture Minister Shri Sharad Pawar, to the Prime Minister’s National Relief fund, here today. Nafed Chairman Shri Ajit Kumar Singh presented the cheque of contribution of Rs. 11 lakh from the organization, one-day salary of the employees and sitting fee of the Members of the Board of Directors to tsunami relief activities.
NAFED is also making food and relief material available through its member societies to the Tsunami victims of Kar Nikobar Island.
