Fresh stocks of MS, HSD, SKO and ATF are being dispatched from Haldia through MT Harsha, which sailed today to reach Port Blair on 13.1.2005. The tanker is carrying the following products : ATF: 1000 KL, SKO:2700 KL and HSD: 1830 KL.
Full demand of products is being met and there is no report of non-availability of products. A team of officers of IOC is camping in Port Blair to monitor the stocks and supplies. POL products are being regularly transported to other islands also in barrels as per the requirement conveyed by the administration.
LPG tanker is expected to berth at Port Blair on 14.1.2005. This would provide 75 days’ cover. Stocks have been replenished in Car Nicobar as 80 KL ATF was transported in 400 barrels from Port Blair and the product reached the island yesterday i.e. 9.1.05.
