Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) Limited, a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES) presented a cheque of Rs.4.00 crore to the Government for the financial year 2003-04 towards dividend.
Shri A.M.Gokhale, Chairman, IREDA presented the cheque of dividend to Shri Villas Muttemwar, Minister for Non-Conventional Energy Sources in a function held here today.
During the year 2003-04, IREDAs performance has been rated as Good in terms of MoU signed with the Government of India. It sanctioned additional 46 projects involving loan commitment of Rs.423.57 crore. IREDA also disbursed a sum of Rs.343.28 crore during the year. Cumulatively, it has sanctioned 1681 projects involving loan commitment of Rs.6,345.43 crore till March, 2004. The cumulative disbursement stands at Rs.3,426.10 crore.
A major chunk of the loan amount sanctioned during the financial year was for the establishment of 204.85 MW capacity of power generation. The cumulative Mega Watt (MW) till 31st March, 2004 since inception through renewable energy was of 2319.26 MW.
IREDA has set a target of Rs.423.00 crore towards disbursements for the year 2004-05 in terms of MoU signed with the Government.
