CBI ARRESTS MCD ENGINEER AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE ACCEPTING Rs.1.25 LACS BRIBE

The Central Bureau of Investigation today arrested a Junior Engineer (Building) and a Beldar both working with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1.25 lakh from the complainant.

CBI laid a trap and both the accused were arrested while accepting bribe of Rs.1.25 lakh from the complainant.

Both the accused will be produced in the designated court at Delhi. The complainant had alleged in the complaint that he is constructing a building on a plot and he got the plans sanctioned from MCD. But the accused demanded bribe of Rs. 5 lakh from him through his tout ( the beldar) alleging that their is a deviation in the construction of a building from the sanctioned plan. The accused threatened the complainant again & again that he would stop the construction if the bribe amount was not paid.
