CBI ARRESTS FSO AND A KEROSENE TRADER OF DELHI FOR BRIBE

CBI has arrested an FSO, Govt. of NCT, Delhi and a kerosene trader for accepting bribe. In this connection, CBI registered a regular case on the written complaint of a complainant against the FSO, Supplies Department, Enforcement Branch, Govt. of NCT of Delhi on the allegation that the accused FSO had demanded a bribe of Rs.Two lakh for not impounding/sealing of light disel oil tanker of the complainant. The accused FSO further asked to hand over the bribe amount to his tout, a kerosene oil trader.

After registration of the case, a trap was laid by the investigative agency and the kerosene dealer was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. Two lakh from the complainant on behalf of the FSO. Both the dealer and the FSO were arrested . Searches were being conducted at the office and residential premises of both the accused persons. Incriminating documents found during the search are being scrutinised.

Both the accused were produced before the Special Judge, Patiala House Courts, Shri H.P. Sharma who has remanded them to three-day police custody.
