The Central Bureau of Investigation has caught red handed
a Deputy Manager/ Sales Officer of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation
Ltd., Regional Office, Raipur for demanding and accepting
a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant. The accused had
demanded an illegal gratification from the complainant for
processing and clearing his pending bill of Rs.4,50,000/-.
In another case, CBI arrested an Inspector and a pound keeper
of Municipal Corporation, UT, Chandigarh for demanding and
accepting a bribe of Rs.1500/- from the complainant for releasing
his one Cow and one Calf from the cattle pound, Industrial
Area, Chandigarh.
