The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved Bhubaneswari Opencast Coal Mining Project of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. at a capital investment of Rs.336.68 crore and a completion cost of Rs.418.81 crore. The project’s target capacity of 10 million tons per year will be achieved in 9th year of the operation.
The Project will produce 10 million tons of coal of grade F (non-coking). It will be supplied to the linked customers like NTPC and other State Government owned Thermal Power Stations.
